Questions
GF Plank, answered
Wide or narrow planks?
Wide planks of 190mm and up make a room feel bigger and calmer, and suit open-plan spaces. Narrower 125mm planks in mixed lengths give a more traditional look.
Is engineered wood waterproof?
No. It is real wood, so it is water-resistant rather than waterproof. Wipe up spills promptly. It works well in kitchens with sensible care, but for bathrooms and utility rooms choose GF Glue Down LVT or GF Click SPC.
Can it be sanded?
Yes. The real oak top layer can be sanded and refinished. The thicker the top layer, the more times that can be done, so a 4mm or 6mm top layer gives you more life than 3mm.
Can it go over underfloor heating?
Yes, up to a floor surface temperature of 27°C.
