About Overleigh Oak
Soft, warm and gently peach-toned, Overleigh Oak is a natural oak with a quiet character. The grain drifts in long, open waves with the occasional oval swirl, and fine silvery flecks appear on some boards. Knots are small and widely spaced, so although it is a rustic grade the overall look is calm and clean. Brushing gives a subtle texture you can feel under bare feet, and the oiled finish keeps the surface matt and natural.
It suits large living spaces, open-plan kitchen-diners (with sensible care), bedrooms and long hallways. White and warm grey walls, oatmeal sofas, pale oak furniture and simple ceramics keep the look light, while black window frames add a modern edge.
At 240 x 2200mm, these are extra-wide, extra-long planks. With very few joins, the floor looks generous and uninterrupted, and larger rooms feel even more spacious.
Beneath the oil is a 6mm real oak top layer on a stable multi-layer base, giving plenty of timber to sand and refinish over the years. It suits underfloor heating up to 27°C.

Frequently asked questions about Overleigh Oak
How many packs of Overleigh Oak do I need?
Each pack covers 2.64 m². Measure the floor area, add 10% for cutting, then divide by 2.64 and round up. For a 15 m² room that is 7 packs.
Is Overleigh Oak waterproof?
No. It is real wood, so it is water-resistant rather than waterproof. Wipe up spills promptly. It works well in kitchens with sensible care, but for bathrooms and utility rooms choose GF Glue Down LVT or GF Click SPC.
Can Overleigh Oak go over underfloor heating?
Yes. It is suitable for underfloor heating, water or electric, up to a floor surface temperature of 27°C.
How is it fitted?
It can be fitted by gluing down or nailing, with a 10–12mm expansion gap at the walls. To keep the GF guarantee, follow the GF installation guide and use a competent professional fitter.
Can it be sanded?
Yes. The real oak top layer can be sanded and refinished. The thicker the top layer, the more times that can be done, so a 4mm or 6mm top layer gives you more life than 3mm.
What guarantee does it have?
It has a 25-year residential guarantee. To keep the GF guarantee, follow the GF installation guide and use a competent professional fitter.
Can I order a free sample?
Yes. You can order up to five free samples, and we aim to send them within 3 to 5 days, so you can see the colour in your own light before you buy.
