Terms of sale
Terms and conditions
These terms apply when you use the GF Flooring website and when you buy from us. Please read them before you place an order.
Last updated: October 2026
1. About us
GF Flooring is a trading name of Gros Flooring Limited, a company registered in England and Wales (company number 10028282). Address: 1 Leslie Road, Winsford, CW7 2RB. VAT number GB 242 1474 33.
You can contact us using our contact form or by writing to us at our trading address.
2. These terms
2.1 These terms apply to every order placed on gf-flooring.uk. “We”, “us” and “our” mean GF Flooring. “You” means the person placing the order.
2.2 If you are a consumer, you have legal rights that these terms do not affect. Where these terms say something that is different only for consumers or only for business customers, they say so.
3. Your order
3.1 When you place an order, we email to say we have received it. This does not mean we have accepted it.
3.2 We accept your order, and a contract between us is formed, when we email to confirm that your order has been accepted or dispatched.
3.3 We may decline an order, for example if an item is not available, if we can’t deliver to your address, or if there is an error in the price or description. If we decline your order after you have paid, we refund you in full.
4. Our flooring
4.1 Natural variation. Real oak engineered wood is a natural material, so grain, knots and colour vary from plank to plank. Vinyl floors are printed to look like wood or stone and may also vary slightly. Photos and samples show the general colour and finish, and your floor may differ slightly from them.
4.2 Batches. Flooring is made in batches, and the shade can vary a little from one batch to the next. Please order all the flooring for a room at the same time. We can’t promise that flooring ordered later will come from the same batch.
4.3 Quantities. Flooring is sold in full packs. It is your responsibility to measure your room and order enough flooring, including an allowance for cutting. We recommend a professional measures for you.
4.4 Fitting. We sell flooring; we don’t offer fitting and are not responsible for the work of fitters. Please follow the GF installation guide for your floor, including how long it must acclimatise before fitting.
5. Prices and payment
5.1 Prices are in pounds sterling and include VAT. Prices are shown per square metre with the price per pack, and you pay per pack. Delivery is free.
5.2 You pay in full when you place your order. We take payment by card through our secure payment provider; we never see or store your full card details.
5.3 We work hard to make sure our prices are right. If we find an error in the price of something you have ordered, we will contact you and you can either confirm the order at the correct price or cancel it for a full refund.
6. Delivery
6.1 We deliver free to addresses in England, Scotland and Wales. We don’t deliver to Northern Ireland, the Isle of Man, the Channel Islands or outside the UK.
6.2 Delivery dates are estimates. If something outside our control delays your delivery, we will tell you and give you a new estimate. If your order is significantly delayed, you can cancel it for a full refund.
6.3 Deliveries are made on a pallet by lorry and are kerbside only. Please make sure the vehicle can reach your address and someone is there to receive the delivery. Our delivery page has the details.
6.4 If nobody is there at the booked time, or the vehicle can’t reach your address because of access you didn’t tell us about, we may charge for redelivery. We will tell you the cost first.
6.5 The flooring is your responsibility from the time it is delivered. You own it once we have received payment in full.
7. Checking your delivery
7.1 Please check your order when it arrives. If packaging is damaged, mark the driver’s paperwork “damaged” and take photos.
7.2 Please tell us about any damaged, missing or wrong items within 48 hours of delivery, with photos if you can. This helps us put things right quickly. It does not affect your legal rights.
7.3 Please don’t fit flooring that is damaged or not what you ordered. Contact us first.
8. Your right to cancel (consumers)
8.1 If you are a consumer, you can cancel your order within 14 days of the day you receive it, without giving a reason. You can also cancel at any time before delivery.
8.2 To cancel, tell us using our contact form or in writing to our trading address. You can use these words: “I want to cancel my contract for the following goods: [order number and items], ordered on [date], received on [date]. Name, address, signature (if on paper), date.”
8.3 You must send the flooring back, or allow us to collect it, within 14 days of telling us you are cancelling. You pay the direct cost of returning it. If we collect it, we will tell you the cost first and take it off your refund.
8.4 We refund you within 14 days of receiving the flooring back, or of you showing us that you have sent it, whichever is sooner. We refund to the payment method you used.
8.5 You can open packs to inspect the flooring. If the flooring has been handled more than needed to inspect it, or cut, glued or fitted, we may reduce your refund to reflect its loss in value.
8.6 Our returns page explains the process step by step.
9. Business customers
9.1 If you buy for a business, the right to cancel in section 8 does not apply. We may agree to take back unopened packs at our discretion.
9.2 If you buy for a business, we are not liable for loss of profit, loss of business or any indirect or consequential loss.
10. Faulty flooring and your legal rights
10.1 We must supply flooring that is as described, fit for purpose and of satisfactory quality. If you are a consumer and it is not, you have rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, including a refund within 30 days of delivery, or a repair or replacement after that. Nothing in these terms affects those rights.
10.2 Flooring is not faulty because of normal wear and tear, natural variation in real wood, damage caused by poor fitting, an unsuitable or damp subfloor, not following the GF installation or care guides, or using it somewhere it isn’t suitable for.
11. GF guarantees
11.1 GF floors come with a residential guarantee: lifetime (35 years from the date of purchase) on GF Glue Down LVT and GF Click SPC, and 25 years on GF by AW and GF Engineered Wood. The product page shows the guarantee for each design.
11.2 To keep the guarantee, the floor must be fitted by a competent fitter following the GF installation guide, and looked after following the GF care guide. Both are on our guides page.
11.3 The guarantee is in addition to your legal rights and does not replace them.
12. Our responsibility to you
12.1 If we break these terms, we are responsible for loss or damage you suffer that is a foreseeable result of that. We are not responsible for loss or damage that is not foreseeable.
12.2 Because delivery dates are estimates, we strongly recommend you don’t book a fitter until your floor has arrived and you have checked it. We are not responsible for fitters’ charges or cancellation fees if a delivery is late or an item needs to be replaced, unless the delay was caused by our failure to take reasonable care.
12.3 Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot be limited by law.
13. Events outside our control
We are not responsible for delays or failures caused by events outside our reasonable control, such as severe weather, transport disruption, strikes or supply problems. If this happens we will tell you, do what we can to limit the delay, and you can cancel for a full refund of anything you haven’t received.
14. Using our website
14.1 The text, photos, guides and other content on this website belong to GF Flooring or are used with permission. You may view and print it for your own personal use, but you may not copy or reuse it for any other purpose without our written permission.
14.2 We aim to keep the website available and accurate, but we can’t promise it will always be available or free of errors.
14.3 Our privacy policy explains how we use your personal information, and our cookie policy explains how we use cookies.
15. Complaints
If you are unhappy with anything, please tell us using our contact form and we will do our best to put it right.
16. Law and courts
16.1 These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales.
16.2 If you are a consumer, you can bring a claim in the courts of England and Wales. If you live in Scotland, you can bring a claim in the Scottish courts or the courts of England and Wales.
17. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The terms that apply to your order are the ones on this page when you place it.
