About Norley Oak
Knots are the star of Norley Oak. Dark filled knots, open pin knots and small cracks run across almost every board, set against a busy grain of swirls and long waves. The base colour is a light, ashy beige with a cool edge: some planks are paler and creamier, others take on a soft grey-brown cast, so the floor has a natural patchwork of tone. The lacquered finish adds a light sheen and keeps the colour clean and fresh.
Its cool, pale tone suits Scandinavian, industrial and modern farmhouse rooms. It works in living rooms, dining rooms, bedrooms, hallways and home offices, and kitchens with sensible care. Charcoal and soft grey upholstery, white walls, black metal and concrete-effect surfaces all suit it.
At 150 x 1900mm, the planks are long but a little slimmer than a wide board, giving a neat, linear look that suits medium-sized rooms and makes narrower spaces feel longer.
A 3mm real oak top layer on a stable multi-layer base means it can be sanded and refinished later, and it is suitable for underfloor heating up to 27°C.

Frequently asked questions about Norley Oak
How many packs of Norley Oak do I need?
Each pack covers 2.85 m². Measure the floor area, add 10% for cutting, then divide by 2.85 and round up. For a 15 m² room that is 6 packs.
Is Norley Oak waterproof?
No. It is real wood, so it is water-resistant rather than waterproof. Wipe up spills promptly. It works well in kitchens with sensible care, but for bathrooms and utility rooms choose GF Glue Down LVT or GF Click SPC.
Can Norley Oak go over underfloor heating?
Yes. It is suitable for underfloor heating, water or electric, up to a floor surface temperature of 27°C.
How is it fitted?
It can be fitted by gluing down or floating, with a 10–12mm expansion gap at the walls. To keep the GF guarantee, follow the GF installation guide and use a competent professional fitter.
Can it be sanded?
Yes. The real oak top layer can be sanded and refinished. The thicker the top layer, the more times that can be done, so a 4mm or 6mm top layer gives you more life than 3mm.
What guarantee does it have?
It has a 25-year residential guarantee. To keep the GF guarantee, follow the GF installation guide and use a competent professional fitter.
Can I order a free sample?
Yes. You can order up to five free samples, and we aim to send them within 3 to 5 days, so you can see the colour in your own light before you buy.
