Floor Finder asks which room the floor is for, who lives there, the floor type, pattern and colour you like, and your budget, then shows the GF designs that suit. Start with your room:

How it works

How Floor Finder chooses your floor

Floor Finder uses the same rules we would use if you asked us in person. The room and the people who live there decide which floors are suitable. Your taste and budget then narrow the list down.

1. The room

Bathrooms, playrooms and homes with pets get 100% waterproof vinyl only. Kitchens get waterproof vinyl first, with real oak as an option. Hallways get tougher wear layers first.

2. Who lives there

With pets, young children or a busy household, vinyl needs a wear layer of 0.5mm or more, so the 0.3mm designs are left out and the toughest 0.7mm designs come first. Real oak is left out for pets.

3. Your taste and budget

Floor type, pattern, colour and budget narrow the list. If nothing matches every answer, we show the closest designs and say what we changed.

Floor Finder questions

How does Floor Finder choose a floor?

It starts with the room. Bathrooms, playrooms and homes with pets are matched to 100% waterproof glue-down or click vinyl only. Kitchens, hallways and living spaces can have vinyl or real oak engineered wood. It then checks who lives there: with pets, young children or a busy household, it only suggests vinyl with a wear layer of 0.5mm or more. Last, it narrows the list by floor type, pattern, colour and budget.

Which GF floor is best for a home with a dog?

Glue-down or click vinyl with a wear layer of 0.5mm or more. Both are 100% waterproof, and a thicker wear layer stands up better to claws and grit. Floor Finder puts the toughest 0.7mm designs first for pets and busy homes.

Can I have real wood in a kitchen or bathroom?

Floor Finder suggests real oak engineered wood for kitchens if you prefer it, but puts waterproof vinyl first. It does not suggest real wood for bathrooms, because standing water and steam can damage it.

What if nothing matches all my answers?

Floor Finder shows the closest designs instead and tells you what it changed. It relaxes the colour first, then the budget, then the pattern. You can change any answer from the results.

Are the prices in Floor Finder the full price?

Yes. Prices are per m² and include VAT and free UK delivery. If you give your room size, Floor Finder adds 10% for cutting and shows a rough total.

Can I see the floors before I buy?

Yes. You can order up to five free samples straight from your results, and use the Room Visualiser to see any design in a photo of your own room.
