About Bostock Oak
Bostock is a dark, smoky brown oak with a coffee depth and golden highlights. The stain settles darker on the surface while the grain is picked out in warm gold, so cathedral arches and swirls stand out clearly. Country grade character is visible in the form of knots and small marks. The lightly brushed lacquer gives a soft, low sheen.
It suits living rooms, dining rooms, bedrooms, hallways and home offices. It looks good with white or cream walls for contrast, or with deep green, navy and oxblood for a moody scheme. Pair it with leather, velvet, brass and rich textiles.
At 190 x 1900mm, the planks are wide and long, giving the floor a confident, generous look with few joints. The same colour also comes in the GF Herringbone format, so you can mix planks and herringbone in neighbouring rooms in the same tone.
It has a 3mm real oak top layer on a stable multi-layer base, so the surface can be sanded and refinished. It suits underfloor heating up to 27°C.

Frequently asked questions about Bostock Oak
How many packs of Bostock Oak do I need?
Each pack covers 2.888 m². Measure the floor area, add 10% for cutting, then divide by 2.888 and round up. For a 15 m² room that is 6 packs.
Is Bostock Oak waterproof?
No. It is real wood, so it is water-resistant rather than waterproof. Wipe up spills promptly. It works well in kitchens with sensible care, but for bathrooms and utility rooms choose GF Glue Down LVT or GF Click SPC.
Can Bostock Oak go over underfloor heating?
Yes. It is suitable for underfloor heating, water or electric, up to a floor surface temperature of 27°C.
How is it fitted?
It can be fitted by gluing down or floating, with a 10–12mm expansion gap at the walls. To keep the GF guarantee, follow the GF installation guide and use a competent professional fitter.
Can it be sanded?
Yes. The real oak top layer can be sanded and refinished. The thicker the top layer, the more times that can be done, so a 4mm or 6mm top layer gives you more life than 3mm.
What guarantee does it have?
It has a 25-year residential guarantee. To keep the GF guarantee, follow the GF installation guide and use a competent professional fitter.
Can I order a free sample?
Yes. You can order up to five free samples, and we aim to send them within 3 to 5 days, so you can see the colour in your own light before you buy.
