About Eaton Oak
This is the classic look of a traditional oak floor: rich honey gold with a bold, open grain. Strong cathedral arches and tight swirls run through many of Eaton Oak’s boards, while others show straighter grain and a few small dark knots. The colour is fairly consistent, with mild shifts between lighter straw and deeper amber. Brushing has opened the grain slightly so it has a gentle texture underfoot, and the lacquer gives it a soft sheen that warms up in daylight.
Its golden tone suits period homes, cottages and family houses with a classic feel. Use it in living rooms, dining rooms, bedrooms and hallways, or in a kitchen with sensible care. Cream walls, deep green or navy paint, brass fittings and leather armchairs all look at home with it.
In 125 x 300–1200mm planks of mixed lengths, the joints are staggered and close together, giving a lively, traditional pattern. It suits smaller rooms, hallways and older properties where a narrower board looks right.
A 3mm real oak top layer on a stable multi-layer base means it can be sanded and refinished in years to come, and it works with underfloor heating up to 27°C.

Frequently asked questions about Eaton Oak
How many packs of Eaton Oak do I need?
Each pack covers 1.8 m². Measure the floor area, add 10% for cutting, then divide by 1.8 and round up. For a 15 m² room that is 10 packs.
Is Eaton Oak waterproof?
No. It is real wood, so it is water-resistant rather than waterproof. Wipe up spills promptly. It works well in kitchens with sensible care, but for bathrooms and utility rooms choose GF Glue Down LVT or GF Click SPC.
Can Eaton Oak go over underfloor heating?
Yes. It is suitable for underfloor heating, water or electric, up to a floor surface temperature of 27°C.
How is it fitted?
It can be fitted by gluing down or nailing, with a 10–12mm expansion gap at the walls. To keep the GF guarantee, follow the GF installation guide and use a competent professional fitter.
Can it be sanded?
Yes. The real oak top layer can be sanded and refinished. The thicker the top layer, the more times that can be done, so a 4mm or 6mm top layer gives you more life than 3mm.
What guarantee does it have?
It has a 25-year residential guarantee. To keep the GF guarantee, follow the GF installation guide and use a competent professional fitter.
Can I order a free sample?
Yes. You can order up to five free samples, and we aim to send them within 3 to 5 days, so you can see the colour in your own light before you buy.
