What to know
Choosing light LVT
Patterns
Light GF glue-down designs come as plank and in parquet patterns. Herringbone makes up just over half, with plank, one basketweave and one chevron.
Wear layer
The wear layer is the clear top layer that takes the knocks. GF Glue Down 0.3 (0.3mm) suits bedrooms and quieter rooms, GF Glue Down 0.55 and GF by AW (0.55mm) suit busy family homes, and GF Glue Down 0.7 (0.7mm) is the toughest, for the busiest rooms in the house.
Waterproof
Every design is 100% waterproof vinyl, so one floor can run through the kitchen, bathroom, utility room and hallway without a change of floor.
Fitting
Glue-down LVT is fixed to a smooth, level, dry subfloor, usually after a smoothing compound, then rolled. There is no underlay. Use a competent professional fitter and follow the GF installation guide to keep the guarantee.

Is it waterproof?
Yes. Every GF Glue Down design is 100% waterproof, so it suits kitchens, bathrooms, utility rooms and hallways.
Can it go over underfloor heating?
Yes. It is suitable for underfloor heating, water or electric, up to a floor surface temperature of 27°C.
How is it fitted?
It is glued to a smooth, level, dry subfloor, usually after a smoothing compound at least 3mm thick, then rolled. There is no underlay. To keep the GF guarantee, follow the GF installation guide and use a competent professional fitter.
How much extra should I order?
Add 10% to the floor area for cutting on plank, or 15% on herringbone and other patterns, which need more cuts. Each design’s page has a calculator that works out the packs for you, including the extra.
