About Churton Oak
Golden and full of life, Churton Oak has a strong, flowing grain that sweeps across the boards in arches and long ripples. Knots are a clear part of the look: some small and tight, others larger with fine dark splits running from them, and a few planks show deeper amber streaks. Colour shifts gently from pale straw to warm honey from one board to the next. A smooth lacquered finish gives a soft sheen that catches the light and makes the grain look crisp. It feels warm, characterful and easy to live with.
This is a floor for family homes: open-plan kitchen-diners (with sensible care), living rooms, hallways and playrooms. It pairs well with white or cream kitchens, sage or navy painted cabinets, black metal lighting and warm brass handles.
Wide, long 190 x 1900mm planks show off the grain properly and keep the floor looking settled, even with all that character.
Below the lacquer sits a 3mm real oak top layer on a stable multi-layer base, so the surface can be sanded and refinished in future. Underfloor heating is fine up to 27°C.

Frequently asked questions about Churton Oak
How many packs of Churton Oak do I need?
Each pack covers 2.166 m². Measure the floor area, add 10% for cutting, then divide by 2.166 and round up. For a 15 m² room that is 8 packs.
Is Churton Oak waterproof?
No. It is real wood, so it is water-resistant rather than waterproof. Wipe up spills promptly. It works well in kitchens with sensible care, but for bathrooms and utility rooms choose GF Glue Down LVT or GF Click SPC.
Can Churton Oak go over underfloor heating?
Yes. It is suitable for underfloor heating, water or electric, up to a floor surface temperature of 27°C.
How is it fitted?
It can be fitted by gluing down or nailing, with a 10–12mm expansion gap at the walls. To keep the GF guarantee, follow the GF installation guide and use a competent professional fitter.
Can it be sanded?
Yes. The real oak top layer can be sanded and refinished. The thicker the top layer, the more times that can be done, so a 4mm or 6mm top layer gives you more life than 3mm.
What guarantee does it have?
It has a 25-year residential guarantee. To keep the GF guarantee, follow the GF installation guide and use a competent professional fitter.
Can I order a free sample?
Yes. You can order up to five free samples, and we aim to send them within 3 to 5 days, so you can see the colour in your own light before you buy.
