Choosing grey SPC
A rigid, waterproof core
SPC stands for stone plastic composite: a rigid core made mostly from limestone powder, with a printed design and a clear wear layer on top. It is harder and more stable than flexible vinyl, and 100% waterproof, so it suits kitchens, bathrooms and hallways.
Wear layer
GF Click SPC has a 0.5mm or 0.55mm wear layer and GF by AW Click has 0.3mm. The wear layer is the clear top layer that protects the design from scuffs and scratches.
Fitting
GF Click SPC is the quickest GF floor to fit. The planks click together and float over the subfloor, with the underlay already attached. The subfloor still needs to be flat, clean and dry, with a 6–8mm expansion gap at every wall. Follow the GF installation guide to keep the guarantee.

What is SPC flooring?
SPC stands for stone plastic composite. It is a rigid core made mostly from limestone powder, with a printed design and a clear wear layer on top. It is harder and more stable than flexible vinyl, and it is 100% waterproof.
Is it waterproof?
Yes. Every GF Click SPC design is 100% waterproof, so it suits kitchens, bathrooms, utility rooms and hallways.
Can it go over underfloor heating?
Yes. It is suitable for underfloor heating, water or electric, up to a floor surface temperature of 27°C.
How is it fitted?
The planks click together and float over a flat, clean, dry subfloor, with the underlay already attached, so there is no separate underlay to buy. Leave a 6–8mm expansion gap at every wall. To keep the GF guarantee, follow the GF installation guide and use a competent professional fitter.
How much extra should I order?
Add 10% to the floor area for cutting on plank, or 15% on herringbone and other patterns, which need more cuts. Each design’s page has a calculator that works out the packs for you, including the extra.
