About Elterwater Elm Chevron
Pale blush and soft sand tones give Elterwater Elm Chevron a gentle, warm lightness. The grain is fine and faint, with soft lines and the odd small pin knot, and there is only a slight change in shade between planks. The finish looks matt and smooth, so the pattern itself provides the interest rather than strong figure in the wood.
It is lovely in bedrooms with sage panelling, iron bedsteads, linen bedding and woven benches. Living rooms, dining rooms, kitchens and bathrooms suit it too, especially with warm white walls, pastel accents and natural cane or rattan.
Each 158 x 710mm plank is cut so the ends meet in a clean point, forming a continuous run of arrows. Chevron reads neater and more modern than herringbone and works in both period and contemporary homes.
It is 100% waterproof, glued to a smooth, prepared subfloor, and has a 0.7mm wear layer for the busiest homes.

Herringbone planks are cut square and laid in a staggered zigzag. Chevron planks are cut at an angle, so the ends meet in a clean, continuous point.
