About Ilkley Ash Herringbone
Ilkley is a pale, sandy-blond ash with a soft greige cast that shows most in daylight. Its grain runs in tight, straight lines, almost like rift-sawn timber, with no knots and very little contrast. Every plank sits close in tone to its neighbour, so the pattern does the work rather than the wood figure. The surface looks matt and natural, and the overall feel is calm, clean and Nordic.
It is easy to live with in a light living room alongside grey or oatmeal sofas, oak furniture, stone-coloured walls and plenty of plants. In a kitchen it partners white, pale grey or putty units, and it is a good choice for bathrooms and hallways too.
With small 115 x 460mm planks, the herringbone is fine and detailed, a classic parquet rhythm that suits period homes, smaller rooms and hallways. The same colour also comes in Plank, so a living space and hallway can share one tone while each room gets the format that fits it.

Herringbone planks are cut square and laid in a staggered zigzag. Chevron planks are cut at an angle, so the ends meet in a clean, continuous point.
