About Rylstone Oak Herringbone
Up close, Rylstone is a golden caramel oak with a fine, straight grain, the occasional flame of figure and a few tiny pin knots. Laid out across a room it softens into a light, warm brown with a hint of taupe. Variation between planks is modest, so the floor looks tidy and even rather than rustic. The finish is matt, and the overall feel is warm, classic and easy to furnish around.
It works in living rooms with grey or stone sofas, oak or walnut furniture, woven baskets and plants. Off-white walls keep it fresh, while deeper greens and ochres make it feel cosy. In a kitchen it pairs well with cream, sage or navy units, and it is equally suited to hallways and bathrooms.
The 115 x 460mm planks make a compact, traditional herringbone with plenty of movement, ideal for period homes and smaller rooms. The same colour also comes in Plank, so you can lay long boards in a large living space and herringbone in the hall.
It is 100% waterproof and glued to a smooth, prepared subfloor, ready for underfloor heating up to 27°C.

Each pack covers 1.48 m². Measure the floor area, add 15% for cutting, as patterned floors need more cuts than plank, then divide by 1.48 and round up. For a 15 m² room that is 12 packs.

How is it fitted?

Herringbone or chevron: what is the difference?
Herringbone planks are cut square and laid in a staggered zigzag. Chevron planks are cut at an angle, so the ends meet in a clean, continuous point.
