About Bishopdale Oak Herringbone
Classic natural oak in a warm honey-straw shade, Bishopdale Oak Herringbone has fine, straight grain with the odd gentle arch and very few knots. Planks vary slightly from pale wheat to light gold, which makes the zigzag pattern easy to read without looking busy. The finish appears smooth and low sheen, giving a clean, fresh look.
It brightens living rooms, dining rooms and hallways, and sits well with grey sofas, jute rugs, warm white walls and leafy plants. In kitchens it pairs with white, sage or navy units, and it also suits offices and shops.
The 115 x 460mm planks are small and narrow, giving a traditional, tightly patterned herringbone for period homes and smaller rooms. The same colour also comes as a plank, so open-plan areas can switch format and keep one shade.
It is 100% waterproof and glued to a smooth, prepared subfloor, with a 0.7mm wear layer built for busy homes and light commercial use.

Frequently asked questions about Bishopdale Oak Herringbone
How many packs of Bishopdale Oak Herringbone do I need?
Each pack covers 1.48 m². Measure the floor area, add 15% for cutting, as patterned floors need more cuts than plank, then divide by 1.48 and round up. For a 15 m² room that is 12 packs.
Is Bishopdale Oak Herringbone waterproof?
Yes. It is a 100% waterproof vinyl floor, so it suits kitchens, bathrooms, utility rooms and hallways.
Can Bishopdale Oak Herringbone go over underfloor heating?
Yes. It is suitable for underfloor heating, water or electric, up to a floor surface temperature of 27°C.
How is it fitted?
It is glued to a smooth, level, dry subfloor, usually after a smoothing compound at least 3mm thick, then rolled. There is no underlay. To keep the GF guarantee, follow the GF installation guide and use a competent professional fitter.
Herringbone or chevron: what is the difference?
Herringbone planks are cut square and laid in a staggered zigzag. Chevron planks are cut at an angle, so the ends meet in a clean, continuous point.
What guarantee does it have?
It has a lifetime residential guarantee, which means 35 years from the date of purchase. To keep the GF guarantee, follow the GF installation guide and use a competent professional fitter.
Can I order a free sample?
Yes. You can order up to five free samples, and we aim to send them within 3 to 5 days, so you can see the colour in your own light before you buy.
