About Bishopdale Oak
Bishopdale is a clean, golden honey oak. The grain is straight and fine, running the length of each board with only the lightest flame figure, and knots are few and small. Planks sit close in colour, with just enough tonal shift to look like real timber. The matt finish gives it a soft, natural look, and the overall feel is warm, classic and uncomplicated.
It brings warmth to living rooms with grey sofas, jute rugs, white walls and lots of daylight. In kitchens it partners white, cream or soft green cabinets, and it works just as well in hallways, home offices and bathrooms, since it is fully waterproof.
At 185 x 1229mm the planks are long and wide, so the floor looks calm, with fewer joints to catch the eye. Long boards help a room feel bigger and lead the eye towards windows and garden doors. The same colour also comes in Herringbone if you would like a pattern in a hallway or dining space.
It is glued to a smooth, prepared subfloor, and the 0.7mm wear layer is made for the busiest homes and light commercial spaces.

Frequently asked questions about Bishopdale Oak
How many packs of Bishopdale Oak do I need?
Each pack covers 2.27 m². Measure the floor area, add 10% for cutting, then divide by 2.27 and round up. For a 15 m² room that is 8 packs.
Is Bishopdale Oak waterproof?
Yes. It is a 100% waterproof vinyl floor, so it suits kitchens, bathrooms, utility rooms and hallways.
Can Bishopdale Oak go over underfloor heating?
Yes. It is suitable for underfloor heating, water or electric, up to a floor surface temperature of 27°C.
How is it fitted?
It is glued to a smooth, level, dry subfloor, usually after a smoothing compound at least 3mm thick, then rolled. There is no underlay. To keep the GF guarantee, follow the GF installation guide and use a competent professional fitter.
Is 0.7mm worth it over 0.55mm?
If the floor takes heavy daily traffic, such as a hallway straight off the front door, a busy kitchen, large dogs or a shop, yes. For most other rooms 0.55mm is plenty.
What guarantee does it have?
It has a lifetime residential guarantee, which means 35 years from the date of purchase. To keep the GF guarantee, follow the GF installation guide and use a competent professional fitter.
Can I order a free sample?
Yes. You can order up to five free samples, and we aim to send them within 3 to 5 days, so you can see the colour in your own light before you buy.
