About Attermire Stone
Attermire is a dark charcoal stone effect, close to anthracite. Fine, lighter wisps and swirls drift across each tile, like the surface of slate or basalt, and the texture looks slightly grainy rather than polished. Tone is very consistent from tile to tile, so the floor looks solid and grounded. It has a contemporary, architectural feel that suits clean lines.
It is striking with white or pale grey walls, oak furniture, mid-grey sofas and big leafy plants. In a kitchen it sits well under white, grey or wood units with black or brushed steel handles. It is also a strong, practical choice for bathrooms, utility rooms and hallways.
The 300 x 600mm rectangular tiles give a crisp, modern grid. They can be laid straight or offset in a brick pattern, and their size means fewer joints than small tiles, which keeps a room calm.
It is 100% waterproof and glued to a smooth, prepared subfloor, with a 0.7mm wear layer for the busiest homes and light commercial spaces.

Frequently asked questions about Attermire Stone
How many packs of Attermire Stone do I need?
Each pack covers 3.24 m². Measure the floor area, add 10% for cutting, then divide by 3.24 and round up. For a 15 m² room that is 6 packs.
Is Attermire Stone waterproof?
Yes. It is a 100% waterproof vinyl floor, so it suits kitchens, bathrooms, utility rooms and hallways.
Can Attermire Stone go over underfloor heating?
Yes. It is suitable for underfloor heating, water or electric, up to a floor surface temperature of 27°C.
How is it fitted?
It is glued to a smooth, level, dry subfloor, usually after a smoothing compound at least 3mm thick, then rolled. There is no underlay. To keep the GF guarantee, follow the GF installation guide and use a competent professional fitter.
Is 0.7mm worth it over 0.55mm?
If the floor takes heavy daily traffic, such as a hallway straight off the front door, a busy kitchen, large dogs or a shop, yes. For most other rooms 0.55mm is plenty.
What guarantee does it have?
It has a lifetime residential guarantee, which means 35 years from the date of purchase. To keep the GF guarantee, follow the GF installation guide and use a competent professional fitter.
Can I order a free sample?
Yes. You can order up to five free samples, and we aim to send them within 3 to 5 days, so you can see the colour in your own light before you buy.
