About Hawes Oak
Deeper and richer than many mid-tone oaks, Hawes Oak is a toffee brown with a hint of russet. Strong cathedral grain sweeps along each plank in darker lines, and some boards carry smoky streaks that add depth and a slightly rustic edge. There is real variation across the floor, from lighter golden planks to darker brown ones, much like a well-used traditional floor. The finish reads low sheen with a subtle grain texture.
Its warmth suits period homes, cottages and cosy living rooms. Cream or stone walls, grey or green sofas, leather and dark-stained furniture all sit comfortably on it. In a kitchen it works with cream, forest green or painted shaker units and brass handles.
Planks of 187 x 1229mm give a familiar, classic proportion that shows off the grain without overwhelming the room. The same colour is also made as herringbone, GF Click SPC plank and GF Click SPC herringbone, so different rooms can share one shade.
Fully waterproof and glued to a smooth, prepared subfloor, it has a 0.55mm wear layer for everyday family life.
