About Buttermere Oak Herringbone
Deep, chocolate-brown oak with a cool, slightly smoky edge makes this one of the darkest herringbones in the range. The grain is fine and straight, with soft cathedral markings and the odd small knot rather than heavy rustic character. Variation between planks is gentle: some lean towards espresso, others show a touch of milk chocolate, enough to keep the pattern alive. The matt finish stops it feeling glossy or heavy.
Dark floors suit rooms with good light and confident colour. Pair it with rust or terracotta sofas, mustard velvet, olive greens, jute rugs and warm cream walls. It also looks smart under white kitchens with brass handles, or in a study lined with books.
