About Buttermere Oak Basketweave
Deep chocolate brown, with hints of plum and espresso, gives Buttermere Oak real drama. The lattice strips are a shade lighter than the squares they cross, so the weave stands out clearly across the room. Fine grain, small knots and gentle cracks give a sense of age, and the finish looks matt rather than glossy. It feels traditional, warm and enveloping.
This is a floor for formal sitting rooms, libraries, dining rooms and grand hallways. It looks right with panelled walls in sage or putty, gilt mirrors, velvet, mustard and pink upholstery, and patterned rugs. Being fully waterproof, it can also go into a kitchen or bathroom.
The 190.5 x 190.5mm panels form a woven, parquet-style pattern that makes the floor the focus of the room. The same colour also comes in herringbone and plank, so you can carry it into adjoining spaces in a quieter format.
