About Ambleside Smoked Oak Herringbone
Smoked oak tones give this herringbone real warmth and depth. Caramel and toffee browns are washed through with a soft grey haze, and the grain is strong and open, with dark knots and fine cracks picked out along the boards. Some pieces run lighter and golden, others deeper and smokier, so the pattern has a gently mixed, aged look. A low-sheen matt finish keeps it feeling like an old floor that has been well cared for.
Try it with sage or soft green kitchens, terracotta islands, cream worktops and boucle stools. It works just as well in living rooms with rust, ochre and olive upholstery, and in hallways where a mid-tone hides everyday grit.
At 76.2 x 457.2mm, these slim planks create a tight, busy zigzag with a traditional parquet feel, ideal for period homes and smaller rooms. The same colour comes in basketweave and plank, so a wide-board living room can run into a herringbone kitchen.
