About Patterdale Aged Oak Chevron
Rich but muted, Patterdale Aged Oak Chevron mixes smoky cocoa and mushroom brown with a cool, greyed undertone. Long, fine grain runs the length of each plank, with occasional swirls and small dark knots. Planks vary from lighter taupe to deeper brown, giving the pattern a gentle depth, and the surface looks matt with a soft grain texture.
It makes a grounding floor for kitchens with sage, blue-grey or putty units, marble-effect worktops, brass pendants and wooden stools. It also suits dining rooms, living rooms and hallways, and is a warm, darker option for a bathroom.
The 158 x 710mm planks meet in clean points to form crisp arrows. In a darker shade the chevron is more subtle, adding pattern without dominating an open-plan kitchen or living space.
With a 0.7mm wear layer, it is built for the busiest homes. It is 100% waterproof and glued to a smooth, prepared subfloor.

Frequently asked questions about Patterdale Aged Oak Chevron
How many packs of Patterdale Aged Oak Chevron do I need?
Each pack covers 3.37 m². Measure the floor area, add 15% for cutting, as patterned floors need more cuts than plank, then divide by 3.37 and round up. For a 15 m² room that is 6 packs.
Is Patterdale Aged Oak Chevron waterproof?
Yes. It is a 100% waterproof vinyl floor, so it suits kitchens, bathrooms, utility rooms and hallways.
Can Patterdale Aged Oak Chevron go over underfloor heating?
Yes. It is suitable for underfloor heating, water or electric, up to a floor surface temperature of 27°C.
How is it fitted?
It is glued to a smooth, level, dry subfloor, usually after a smoothing compound at least 3mm thick, then rolled. There is no underlay. To keep the GF guarantee, follow the GF installation guide and use a competent professional fitter.
Herringbone or chevron: what is the difference?
Herringbone planks are cut square and laid in a staggered zigzag. Chevron planks are cut at an angle, so the ends meet in a clean, continuous point.
What guarantee does it have?
It has a lifetime residential guarantee, which means 35 years from the date of purchase. To keep the GF guarantee, follow the GF installation guide and use a competent professional fitter.
Can I order a free sample?
Yes. You can order up to five free samples, and we aim to send them within 3 to 5 days, so you can see the colour in your own light before you buy.
