About Malham Stone
Malham is a warm taupe stone effect, somewhere between mushroom and soft grey-brown. The surface has a gentle mottling with fine pitting, like a honed limestone or polished concrete, and there are no strong veins. Tiles shift slightly in shade, adding depth without looking patchy. The finish appears matt, and the overall effect is earthy, calm and grounded.
It works well with natural, textured interiors: oatmeal and grey upholstery, chunky wool rugs, rattan baskets, oak furniture and warm white walls. In kitchens it sits beautifully with cream, sage or wood-fronted units, and it is an easy choice for bathrooms, utility rooms and hallways.
The 300 x 600mm rectangular tiles create a clean, modern grid. Larger tiles mean fewer joints, so an open-plan space reads as one continuous floor. They can be laid straight or in a brick pattern.
It is 100% waterproof and glued to a smooth, prepared subfloor. The 0.7mm wear layer is designed for the busiest homes and light commercial spaces.

How is it fitted?
It is glued to a smooth, level, dry subfloor, usually after a smoothing compound at least 3mm thick, then rolled. There is no underlay. To keep the GF guarantee, follow the GF installation guide and use a competent professional fitter.
Is 0.7mm worth it over 0.55mm?
If the floor takes heavy daily traffic, such as a hallway straight off the front door, a busy kitchen, large dogs or a shop, yes. For most other rooms 0.55mm is plenty.
