About Stainforth Oak
Weathered and smoky, Stainforth Oak blends taupe, brown and grey into a deep driftwood shade. The grain is long and linear, with a strong brushed texture and pale flecks that look like old whitewash caught in the wood. Small knots appear here and there. Planks vary from mid grey-brown to darker smoky tones, which gives the floor depth and an aged, reclaimed feel. The surface looks matt.
It suits modern rustic and industrial schemes: white walls, big windows, grey upholstery and mid-tone oak or walnut furniture. In a kitchen it works with white, sage or charcoal units and black or brushed steel fittings.
The 187 x 1229mm planks are a classic size that keeps the strong texture orderly, and the long lengths help open-plan rooms feel settled.
Being 100% waterproof, it suits bathrooms and hallways too. It is glued to a smooth, prepared subfloor and works with underfloor heating up to 27°C.
