About Reeth Walnut
Dark and smoky, this deep cocoa brown carries a faint grey cast that keeps it from looking too red. The grain is long and straight, with fine brushed scratches, soft streaks and the odd small knot. Planks vary slightly in depth, adding gentle movement across the floor. The finish is matt, giving a grounded, modern look rather than a glossy one.
Reeth Walnut brings warmth and weight to living rooms, dining rooms and studies, and looks good in kitchens with cream, white or sage cabinets. Linen, brass, pale walls and green plants stand out well against it. Fully waterproof, it also suits a bathroom.
Long 180 x 1220mm planks give the dark colour calm, unbroken lines, which stops it from closing a room in. The same colour also comes in herringbone, for a dining room or study in a matching shade.
Reeth is glued to a smooth, prepared subfloor and suits underfloor heating up to 27°C. The 0.3mm wear layer suits bedrooms, living and dining rooms with lighter foot traffic.

How is it fitted?
It is glued to a smooth, level, dry subfloor, usually after a smoothing compound at least 3mm thick, then rolled. There is no underlay. To keep the GF guarantee, follow the GF installation guide and use a competent professional fitter.
Is a 0.3mm wear layer hard-wearing enough?
For bedrooms, living rooms and dining rooms, yes. For kitchens, hallways or homes with large dogs, look at GF Glue Down 0.55 or GF Glue Down 0.7.
