About Grassington Oak
Mid brown with a warm caramel glow, Grassington Oak has a classic, honest oak look. The grain is well defined, with strong cathedral arches and fine straight lines, and the surface is clean, with no heavy knots. In softer light the colour leans slightly smoky, in brighter light more amber. Plank-to-plank variation is gentle, giving a steady, even floor with a soft matt finish.
It is an easy floor to live with in family living rooms, dining rooms and kitchens. White walls, grey sofas, cream or green kitchens and black or brass hardware all suit it. Fully waterproof, it can also be laid in a bathroom.
The 180 x 1220mm planks are long and wide, so the room feels open and calm. The same colour also comes in herringbone, handy for a dining room or study that wants a more traditional pattern.
Grassington is glued to a smooth, prepared subfloor and suits underfloor heating up to 27°C. Its 0.3mm wear layer suits bedrooms, living and dining rooms with lighter foot traffic.

Is a 0.3mm wear layer hard-wearing enough?
For bedrooms, living rooms and dining rooms, yes. For kitchens, hallways or homes with large dogs, look at GF Glue Down 0.55 or GF Glue Down 0.7.
