About Penyghent Stone
Penyghent is a light dove-grey stone effect with a cool, neutral cast. Faint, wispy veins and soft cloudy patches drift across the surface, like a fine sandstone or limestone, and a few tiles are a touch lighter or darker than their neighbours. The finish looks matt with a gentle texture. It feels clean, modern and easy to work with.
It is a natural partner for contemporary schemes with white or pale grey walls, grey sofas, oak or walnut furniture and terracotta pots. In kitchens it suits white, grey or deep blue units, and it is a sensible choice for bathrooms, utility rooms and busy hallways.
The 300 x 600mm tiles make a tidy rectangular grid. Bigger tiles mean fewer joints, which helps a room feel larger, and they can be laid straight for a crisp look or offset for something softer.
It is 100% waterproof and suits underfloor heating up to a floor surface temperature of 27°C.

Frequently asked questions about Penyghent Stone
How many packs of Penyghent Stone do I need?
Each pack covers 3.24 m². Measure the floor area, add 10% for cutting, then divide by 3.24 and round up. For a 15 m² room that is 6 packs.
Is Penyghent Stone waterproof?
Yes. It is a 100% waterproof vinyl floor, so it suits kitchens, bathrooms, utility rooms and hallways.
Can Penyghent Stone go over underfloor heating?
Yes. It is suitable for underfloor heating, water or electric, up to a floor surface temperature of 27°C.
How is it fitted?
It is glued to a smooth, level, dry subfloor, usually after a smoothing compound at least 3mm thick, then rolled. There is no underlay. To keep the GF guarantee, follow the GF installation guide and use a competent professional fitter.
Is 0.7mm worth it over 0.55mm?
If the floor takes heavy daily traffic, such as a hallway straight off the front door, a busy kitchen, large dogs or a shop, yes. For most other rooms 0.55mm is plenty.
What guarantee does it have?
It has a lifetime residential guarantee, which means 35 years from the date of purchase. To keep the GF guarantee, follow the GF installation guide and use a competent professional fitter.
Can I order a free sample?
Yes. You can order up to five free samples, and we aim to send them within 3 to 5 days, so you can see the colour in your own light before you buy.
