About Eskdale Pine Herringbone
Soft and creamy, with a faint blush undertone, Eskdale is one of the palest woods in the range. The grain is fine and low in contrast, drawn in gentle arches and straight lines, and there are almost no knots to break it up. Planks vary only slightly in tone, so the floor reads as one calm, light surface. The finish is matt, which keeps the look natural and Scandinavian.
A pale floor like this lets colour elsewhere do the talking. Teal or sage cabinets, terracotta pots, mustard bar stools and brass pendants all look bright against it. It is equally good in a bedroom or living room with linen and white walls, and as vinyl it handles kitchens, bathrooms and hallways with ease.
The 150 x 750mm planks make a broad, generous herringbone. The pattern is bolder and less busy than small parquet, so it suits large kitchen-diners and open-plan rooms without feeling fussy.
It is 100% waterproof, glued to a smooth, prepared subfloor, and suits underfloor heating up to a floor surface temperature of 27°C.

Frequently asked questions about Eskdale Pine Herringbone
How many packs of Eskdale Pine Herringbone do I need?
Each pack covers 3.62 m². Measure the floor area, add 15% for cutting, as patterned floors need more cuts than plank, then divide by 3.62 and round up. For a 15 m² room that is 5 packs.
Is Eskdale Pine Herringbone waterproof?
Yes. It is a 100% waterproof vinyl floor, so it suits kitchens, bathrooms, utility rooms and hallways.
Can Eskdale Pine Herringbone go over underfloor heating?
Yes. It is suitable for underfloor heating, water or electric, up to a floor surface temperature of 27°C.
How is it fitted?
It is glued to a smooth, level, dry subfloor, usually after a smoothing compound at least 3mm thick, then rolled. There is no underlay. To keep the GF guarantee, follow the GF installation guide and use a competent professional fitter.
Herringbone or chevron: what is the difference?
Herringbone planks are cut square and laid in a staggered zigzag. Chevron planks are cut at an angle, so the ends meet in a clean, continuous point.
What guarantee does it have?
It has a lifetime residential guarantee, which means 35 years from the date of purchase. To keep the GF guarantee, follow the GF installation guide and use a competent professional fitter.
Can I order a free sample?
Yes. You can order up to five free samples, and we aim to send them within 3 to 5 days, so you can see the colour in your own light before you buy.
