About Braithwaite Golden Oak Herringbone
Warm caramel with golden and rosy hints, Braithwaite Golden Oak Herringbone has a soft, sunny glow. The grain is gentle and flowing, with long lines, faint cathedral arches and only small knots. Planks vary from lighter sand to deeper caramel, so the large pattern shows clearly across the room. The finish appears matt with a light grain texture.
It is a cheerful match for colourful kitchens: teal or blue units, terrazzo splashbacks, pastel appliances and mustard bar stools. It also suits living rooms, dining rooms, bedrooms and bathrooms with cream walls and pale oak furniture.
The 150 x 750mm planks are bigger than a classic herringbone, so the zigzag is broad and bold. It suits large kitchen-diners and open-plan spaces where a smaller pattern could feel busy, and it gives a long run of floor a sense of direction.
It is 100% waterproof and glued to a smooth, prepared subfloor. The 0.7mm wear layer is made for the busiest homes.

Frequently asked questions about Braithwaite Golden Oak Herringbone
How many packs of Braithwaite Golden Oak Herringbone do I need?
Each pack covers 3.62 m². Measure the floor area, add 15% for cutting, as patterned floors need more cuts than plank, then divide by 3.62 and round up. For a 15 m² room that is 5 packs.
Is Braithwaite Golden Oak Herringbone waterproof?
Yes. It is a 100% waterproof vinyl floor, so it suits kitchens, bathrooms, utility rooms and hallways.
Can Braithwaite Golden Oak Herringbone go over underfloor heating?
Yes. It is suitable for underfloor heating, water or electric, up to a floor surface temperature of 27°C.
How is it fitted?
It is glued to a smooth, level, dry subfloor, usually after a smoothing compound at least 3mm thick, then rolled. There is no underlay. To keep the GF guarantee, follow the GF installation guide and use a competent professional fitter.
Herringbone or chevron: what is the difference?
Herringbone planks are cut square and laid in a staggered zigzag. Chevron planks are cut at an angle, so the ends meet in a clean, continuous point.
What guarantee does it have?
It has a lifetime residential guarantee, which means 35 years from the date of purchase. To keep the GF guarantee, follow the GF installation guide and use a competent professional fitter.
Can I order a free sample?
