About Hawkshead Natural Oak Herringbone
Pale, creamy oak with the soft, untreated look of raw timber makes this herringbone feel fresh and understated. The colour has a faint blush undertone, the grain is fine and straight, and knots are almost absent, so the surface is calm and clean. Planks shift only slightly between ivory and pale biscuit, giving gentle movement to the pattern. The finish is a very low matt with no visible sheen.
It suits bedrooms and living rooms in classic period homes, with sage or green-grey panelling, dusky pink walls, linen bedding and brass mirrors. It also works in Scandinavian schemes, white kitchens and bright bathrooms.
The narrow 76.2 x 457.2mm planks create a fine, traditional herringbone that brings pattern to smaller rooms without overwhelming them. The same colour also comes in basketweave and plank, so a period house can mix formats from room to room.
It is 100% waterproof, glued to a smooth, prepared subfloor, and suits underfloor heating up to 27°C.
