About Askrigg Birch
With its pale silver-grey colour, Askrigg Birch brings a cool, clean feel to a room. The grain is fine and straight, made up of light and darker streaks that give a soft linear texture, and knots are rare and small. Planks vary only slightly, from light grey to almost white in places. The matt finish looks fresh and modern, with a Scandinavian edge.
It suits contemporary homes with white or charcoal kitchens, chrome or black fittings, and soft grey, navy or blush furnishings. As it is fully waterproof, bathrooms and en suites are fine, as are bedrooms and living rooms.
Long 180 x 1220mm planks stretch the light colour across the room, making it feel larger. The same colour also comes in herringbone, so a dining room or study can take on a pattern in the same grey.
Askrigg is glued down to a smooth, prepared subfloor and suits underfloor heating up to 27°C. The 0.3mm wear layer suits bedrooms, living and dining rooms with lighter foot traffic.

Is a 0.3mm wear layer hard-wearing enough?
For bedrooms, living rooms and dining rooms, yes. For kitchens, hallways or homes with large dogs, look at GF Glue Down 0.55 or GF Glue Down 0.7.
