About Norton Oak

Soft ivory and oat tones give Norton Oak a gentle, creamy pale look. The grain is fine, straight and subtle, with faint warmer streaks in places, and there are hardly any knots. Planks sit close together in colour, so the floor reads as one calm, light surface. The finish is matt and understated, with the quiet feel of a Nordic interior.

Norton suits minimal and Scandinavian homes, cream or white kitchens, bedrooms and smaller rooms that benefit from a lighter floor. Pair it with warm whites, oatmeal fabrics, light oak and soft grey. It is fully waterproof, so kitchens, bathrooms and hallways are all fine.

Its 180 x 1220mm planks are long and wide, laying down calm lines that make a room feel bigger. The same colour also comes in herringbone, useful for a hallway that wants a little more pattern.

A rigid stone-composite core clicks together and floats on the attached underlay. A 0.5mm wear layer handles everyday family life in most rooms.

Frequently asked questions about Norton Oak

How many packs of Norton Oak do I need?

Each pack covers 2.64 m². Measure the floor area, add 10% for cutting, then divide by 2.64 and round up. For a 15 m² room that is 7 packs.

Is Norton Oak waterproof?

Yes. It is a 100% waterproof vinyl floor, so it suits kitchens, bathrooms, utility rooms and hallways.

Can Norton Oak go over underfloor heating?

Yes. It is suitable for underfloor heating, water or electric, up to a floor surface temperature of 27°C.

Can I fit it myself?

It is the quickest GF floor to fit: the planks click together and float over the subfloor, and the underlay is already attached. The subfloor still needs to be flat, clean and dry, with a 6–8mm expansion gap at every wall. To keep the GF guarantee, follow the GF installation guide and use a competent professional fitter.

What is SPC flooring?

SPC stands for stone plastic composite. It is a rigid core made mostly from limestone powder, with a printed design and a clear wear layer on top. It is harder and more stable than flexible vinyl, and it is 100% waterproof.

What guarantee does it have?

It has a lifetime residential guarantee, which means 35 years from the date of purchase. To keep the GF guarantee, follow the GF installation guide and use a competent professional fitter.

Can I order a free sample?

Yes. You can order up to five free samples, and we aim to send them within 3 to 5 days, so you can see the colour in your own light before you buy.
