About Dormy Oak Herringbone
Greige oak with a farmhouse edge. Dormy mixes pale taupe and soft grey with hints of warm brown, and the grain is open and wavy with limed highlights. Dark knots and short cracks appear across the planks, adding a rustic, lived-in character, and the tone shifts noticeably from plank to plank. The matt surface has a gently textured look, so the floor feels relaxed and natural rather than polished.
It works in country kitchens, family living rooms and boot-room style hallways, and its waterproof build means bathrooms are fine too. Pair it with off-white or putty walls, sage or stone units, aged brass, wool throws and warm wood furniture.
The 128 x 615mm planks make a classic herringbone that feels at home in cottages and period properties, while the mixed tones stop it looking formal. The same colour also comes as a plank for neighbouring rooms.
It is 100% waterproof and clicks together with the underlay already attached, and a 0.5mm wear layer handles everyday family life in most rooms.

Frequently asked questions about Dormy Oak Herringbone
How many packs of Dormy Oak Herringbone do I need?
Each pack covers 2.36 m². Measure the floor area, add 15% for cutting, as patterned floors need more cuts than plank, then divide by 2.36 and round up. For a 15 m² room that is 8 packs.
Is Dormy Oak Herringbone waterproof?
Yes. It is a 100% waterproof vinyl floor, so it suits kitchens, bathrooms, utility rooms and hallways.
Can Dormy Oak Herringbone go over underfloor heating?
Yes. It is suitable for underfloor heating, water or electric, up to a floor surface temperature of 27°C.
Can I fit it myself?
It is the quickest GF floor to fit: the planks click together and float over the subfloor, and the underlay is already attached. The subfloor still needs to be flat, clean and dry, with a 6–8mm expansion gap at every wall. To keep the GF guarantee, follow the GF installation guide and use a competent professional fitter.
What is SPC flooring?
SPC stands for stone plastic composite. It is a rigid core made mostly from limestone powder, with a printed design and a clear wear layer on top. It is harder and more stable than flexible vinyl, and it is 100% waterproof.
What guarantee does it have?
It has a lifetime residential guarantee, which means 35 years from the date of purchase. To keep the GF guarantee, follow the GF installation guide and use a competent professional fitter.
Can I order a free sample?
Yes. You can order up to five free samples, and we aim to send them within 3 to 5 days, so you can see the colour in your own light before you buy.
