About Daylesford Oak
Sandy-brown oak with a rustic streak. Daylesford sits in the middle of the tonal range, warm without being orange, and its grain carries light limed flecks. Dark-filled knots and short cracks run across many of the planks, giving a characterful, rustic look, while the colour stays fairly even overall. The matt finish has a natural, slightly textured appearance, for a relaxed and welcoming floor.
It suits family kitchens, living rooms and dining rooms, and is equally good in a bathroom or hallway. Pair it with cream, sage or soft grey units, white walls, terracotta pots, linen and warm metals.
In 180 x 1220mm planks, the long lines let the knots and grain show at their best and make rooms feel larger. The same colour also comes in herringbone, a useful option for a hallway that leads into a plank-floored living space.
It is 100% waterproof with a rigid stone-composite core and the underlay already attached. The 0.5mm wear layer copes with everyday family life in most rooms.

Frequently asked questions about Daylesford Oak
How many packs of Daylesford Oak do I need?
Each pack covers 2.64 m². Measure the floor area, add 10% for cutting, then divide by 2.64 and round up. For a 15 m² room that is 7 packs.
Is Daylesford Oak waterproof?
Yes. It is a 100% waterproof vinyl floor, so it suits kitchens, bathrooms, utility rooms and hallways.
Can Daylesford Oak go over underfloor heating?
Yes. It is suitable for underfloor heating, water or electric, up to a floor surface temperature of 27°C.
Can I fit it myself?
It is the quickest GF floor to fit: the planks click together and float over the subfloor, and the underlay is already attached. The subfloor still needs to be flat, clean and dry, with a 6–8mm expansion gap at every wall. To keep the GF guarantee, follow the GF installation guide and use a competent professional fitter.
What is SPC flooring?
SPC stands for stone plastic composite. It is a rigid core made mostly from limestone powder, with a printed design and a clear wear layer on top. It is harder and more stable than flexible vinyl, and it is 100% waterproof.
What guarantee does it have?
It has a lifetime residential guarantee, which means 35 years from the date of purchase. To keep the GF guarantee, follow the GF installation guide and use a competent professional fitter.
Can I order a free sample?
Yes. You can order up to five free samples, and we aim to send them within 3 to 5 days, so you can see the colour in your own light before you buy.
