About Peckforton Oak Versailles
Soft cream with a pale, whitened look, Peckforton Oak Versailles brings parquet into a room in a light, airy way. The grain is fine and gentle, with brushing that gives a subtle texture, and the strips vary only slightly in tone, so the framed borders and diagonal lattice show as a delicate pattern. As a select grade, knots are small and few. The oiled finish is matt, keeping the pale tone soft and natural.
It is a natural choice for bright Scandinavian and minimalist rooms, bedrooms, dining rooms and entrance halls, and kitchens with sensible care. White walls, pale linen, light oak, stone and soft greys all sit well with it, and it can lift a darker room.
The 600 x 600mm Versailles panels make the floor itself the feature. Laid edge to edge, the squares form a calm, ordered grid, and the pale colour keeps the pattern from feeling heavy.
A 3mm real oak top layer on a stable multi-layer base means it can be sanded and refinished later. It suits underfloor heating up to 27°C.

Frequently asked questions about Peckforton Oak Versailles
How many packs of Peckforton Oak Versailles do I need?
Each pack covers 2.88 m². Measure the floor area, add 15% for cutting, as patterned floors need more cuts than plank, then divide by 2.88 and round up. For a 15 m² room that is 6 packs.
Is Peckforton Oak Versailles waterproof?
No. It is real wood, so it is water-resistant rather than waterproof. Wipe up spills promptly. It works well in kitchens with sensible care, but for bathrooms and utility rooms choose GF Glue Down LVT or GF Click SPC.
Can Peckforton Oak Versailles go over underfloor heating?
Yes. It is suitable for underfloor heating, water or electric, up to a floor surface temperature of 27°C.
How is it fitted?
It can be fitted by gluing down or nailing, with a 10–12mm expansion gap at the walls. To keep the GF guarantee, follow the GF installation guide and use a competent professional fitter.
Can it be sanded?
Yes. The real oak top layer can be sanded and refinished. The thicker the top layer, the more times that can be done, so a 4mm or 6mm top layer gives you more life than 3mm.
Where does Versailles flooring work best?
Anywhere you want the floor to be the feature: dining rooms, hallways, drawing rooms and large living spaces. The panel pattern needs a bit of room to show off.
What guarantee does it have?
It has a 25-year residential guarantee. To keep the GF guarantee, follow the GF installation guide and use a competent professional fitter.
Can I order a free sample?
Yes. You can order up to five free samples, and we aim to send them within 3 to 5 days, so you can see the colour in your own light before you buy.
