About Warmingham Oak

Smoky tobacco brown with a bronze glow, Warmingham Oak has a rich, aged look. The stain settles deeper into the grain, so the arches and fine lines stand out in darker brown against a warm golden-brown base. Black filled knots and small splits run through the boards, adding a rustic, lived-in feel, and there is a gentle shift in depth from plank to plank. A lacquered finish gives a soft sheen.

It suits period homes, country houses and warm, earthy modern interiors. Lay it in living rooms, dining rooms, studies, bedrooms and hallways, and in kitchens with sensible care. Cream and warm white walls, sage or olive paint, tan leather, brass and wool textures all bring out its depth.

The 190 x 1900mm planks are wide and long, giving a calm floor where the characterful grain can spread out. The same colour also comes in GF Herringbone, so rooms can flow together, with plank in the living space and herringbone in a hallway or dining room.

A 3mm real oak top layer sits on a stable multi-layer base, so it can be sanded and refinished in years to come. It suits underfloor heating up to 27°C.

Frequently asked questions about Warmingham Oak

How many packs of Warmingham Oak do I need?

Each pack covers 2.888 m². Measure the floor area, add 10% for cutting, then divide by 2.888 and round up. For a 15 m² room that is 6 packs.

Is Warmingham Oak waterproof?

No. It is real wood, so it is water-resistant rather than waterproof. Wipe up spills promptly. It works well in kitchens with sensible care, but for bathrooms and utility rooms choose GF Glue Down LVT or GF Click SPC.

Can Warmingham Oak go over underfloor heating?

Yes. It is suitable for underfloor heating, water or electric, up to a floor surface temperature of 27°C.

How is it fitted?

It can be fitted by gluing down or floating, with a 10–12mm expansion gap at the walls. To keep the GF guarantee, follow the GF installation guide and use a competent professional fitter.

Can it be sanded?

Yes. The real oak top layer can be sanded and refinished. The thicker the top layer, the more times that can be done, so a 4mm or 6mm top layer gives you more life than 3mm.

What guarantee does it have?

It has a 25-year residential guarantee. To keep the GF guarantee, follow the GF installation guide and use a competent professional fitter.

Can I order a free sample?

Yes. You can order up to five free samples, and we aim to send them within 3 to 5 days, so you can see the colour in your own light before you buy.
