About Tattenhall Oak
Pale blush and cream, Tattenhall Oak has a soft, almost raw look. The grain drifts gently along the boards in loose arches and fine lines, and knots are few and small, with the occasional short split. Variation between planks is light, so the floor reads as one even, pale surface. Its lacquered finish is smooth with a subtle sheen that lifts the light colour without making it look shiny.
It brightens smaller or north-facing rooms and suits modern, Scandinavian and minimalist interiors. Use it in living rooms, bedrooms, dining rooms and hallways, and in kitchens with sensible care. White and warm white walls, light grey or oatmeal sofas, pale woods and soft pastel accents work well.
The 190 x 1900mm planks are wide and long, keeping joins few so the room feels open and restful.
With a 3mm real oak top layer on a stable multi-layer base, it can be sanded and refinished in years to come, and it suits underfloor heating up to 27°C.

Frequently asked questions about Tattenhall Oak
How many packs of Tattenhall Oak do I need?
Each pack covers 2.166 m². Measure the floor area, add 10% for cutting, then divide by 2.166 and round up. For a 15 m² room that is 8 packs.
Is Tattenhall Oak waterproof?
No. It is real wood, so it is water-resistant rather than waterproof. Wipe up spills promptly. It works well in kitchens with sensible care, but for bathrooms and utility rooms choose GF Glue Down LVT or GF Click SPC.
Can Tattenhall Oak go over underfloor heating?
Yes. It is suitable for underfloor heating, water or electric, up to a floor surface temperature of 27°C.
How is it fitted?
It can be fitted by gluing down or nailing, with a 10–12mm expansion gap at the walls. To keep the GF guarantee, follow the GF installation guide and use a competent professional fitter.
Can it be sanded?
Yes. The real oak top layer can be sanded and refinished. The thicker the top layer, the more times that can be done, so a 4mm or 6mm top layer gives you more life than 3mm.
What guarantee does it have?
It has a 25-year residential guarantee. To keep the GF guarantee, follow the GF installation guide and use a competent professional fitter.
Can I order a free sample?
Yes. You can order up to five free samples, and we aim to send them within 3 to 5 days, so you can see the colour in your own light before you buy.
