About Duddon Oak
Pale greige oak with plenty of character, Duddon Oak mixes soft beige and light taupe tones with a strong rustic grain. Open knots, some dark and some filled, appear across most boards, along with small splits and fine silvery flecks where the oak has been cut through its rays. The colour varies gently between planks, from creamy to a slightly cooler, greyer beige. A lacquered finish adds a low sheen and keeps the look clean. The effect is relaxed and lived-in, like an old farmhouse floor freshened up.
It suits Scandinavian and modern rustic interiors, from open-plan living rooms to dining rooms, bedrooms and hallways, plus kitchens with sensible care. Grey or charcoal sofas, white walls, black window frames and natural wood furniture all work well, and its busy character is forgiving of everyday family life.
Wide 190 x 1900mm planks give all that character room to breathe, so the floor feels open rather than cluttered.
It has a 3mm real oak top layer on a stable multi-layer base, so it can be sanded and refinished later, and it suits underfloor heating up to 27°C.

Frequently asked questions about Duddon Oak
How many packs of Duddon Oak do I need?
Each pack covers 3.61 m². Measure the floor area, add 10% for cutting, then divide by 3.61 and round up. For a 15 m² room that is 5 packs.
Is Duddon Oak waterproof?
No. It is real wood, so it is water-resistant rather than waterproof. Wipe up spills promptly. It works well in kitchens with sensible care, but for bathrooms and utility rooms choose GF Glue Down LVT or GF Click SPC.
Can Duddon Oak go over underfloor heating?
Yes. It is suitable for underfloor heating, water or electric, up to a floor surface temperature of 27°C.
How is it fitted?
It can be fitted by gluing down or floating, with a 10–12mm expansion gap at the walls. To keep the GF guarantee, follow the GF installation guide and use a competent professional fitter.
Can it be sanded?
Yes. The real oak top layer can be sanded and refinished. The thicker the top layer, the more times that can be done, so a 4mm or 6mm top layer gives you more life than 3mm.
What guarantee does it have?
It has a 25-year residential guarantee. To keep the GF guarantee, follow the GF installation guide and use a competent professional fitter.
Can I order a free sample?
Yes. You can order up to five free samples, and we aim to send them within 3 to 5 days, so you can see the colour in your own light before you buy.
