About Budworth Oak
Budworth is a light, smoked oak in sandy biscuit with a soft grey-white wash in the grain. The swirling cathedral figure stands out in pale tones, and the Rustic grade adds small knots and the odd fine split. Planks vary slightly between warm sand and cooler greige. The brushed oiled finish is matt and natural.
It suits living rooms, bedrooms, studies and hallways, and kitchen-diners with sensible care. Pair it with white, warm grey or soft stone walls, natural linen, pale oak and black metal. It works well in modern Scandinavian homes and in relaxed country style.
At 190 x 1900mm, the planks are wide and long, so the floor runs in clean, calm lines with few joints. That helps a room feel bigger and more settled.
There is a 3mm real oak top layer on a stable multi-layer base, so it can be sanded and re-oiled. It suits underfloor heating up to a floor surface temperature of 27°C.

Frequently asked questions about Budworth Oak
How many packs of Budworth Oak do I need?
Each pack covers 2.166 m². Measure the floor area, add 10% for cutting, then divide by 2.166 and round up. For a 15 m² room that is 8 packs.
Is Budworth Oak waterproof?
No. It is real wood, so it is water-resistant rather than waterproof. Wipe up spills promptly. It works well in kitchens with sensible care, but for bathrooms and utility rooms choose GF Glue Down LVT or GF Click SPC.
Can Budworth Oak go over underfloor heating?
Yes. It is suitable for underfloor heating, water or electric, up to a floor surface temperature of 27°C.
How is it fitted?
It can be fitted by gluing down or nailing, with a 10–12mm expansion gap at the walls. To keep the GF guarantee, follow the GF installation guide and use a competent professional fitter.
Can it be sanded?
Yes. The real oak top layer can be sanded and refinished. The thicker the top layer, the more times that can be done, so a 4mm or 6mm top layer gives you more life than 3mm.
What guarantee does it have?
It has a 25-year residential guarantee. To keep the GF guarantee, follow the GF installation guide and use a competent professional fitter.
Can I order a free sample?
Yes. You can order up to five free samples, and we aim to send them within 3 to 5 days, so you can see the colour in your own light before you buy.
