About Westminster Oak Herringbone
Very pale and softly limed, Westminster is a white-washed oak with a calm, cool beige base. The white finish settles into the fine grain, so straight lines and soft arches show as delicate pale streaks. Colour is very even across the planks, and knots are rare, giving a clean, refined look. The brushed lacquered surface has a quiet, low sheen.
It is ideal for bright, elegant interiors: formal living rooms, bedrooms, dressing rooms and hallways, and kitchens with sensible care. Pair it with white or pale grey walls, soft grey upholstery, cream boucle, light oak and brushed nickel or brass.
The 80 x 350mm planks give a slim, refined herringbone. In such a light tone, the pattern adds texture without busyness, which suits both period homes and modern ones.
This 20mm floor has a 6mm real oak top layer, giving plenty of oak to sand and refinish over the years. The Select grade keeps knots small and few.

Frequently asked questions about Westminster Oak Herringbone
How many packs of Westminster Oak Herringbone do I need?
Each pack covers 1.12 m². Measure the floor area, add 15% for cutting, as patterned floors need more cuts than plank, then divide by 1.12 and round up. For a 15 m² room that is 16 packs.
Is Westminster Oak Herringbone waterproof?
No. It is real wood, so it is water-resistant rather than waterproof. Wipe up spills promptly. It works well in kitchens with sensible care, but for bathrooms and utility rooms choose GF Glue Down LVT or GF Click SPC.
Can Westminster Oak Herringbone go over underfloor heating?
Yes. It is suitable for underfloor heating, water or electric, up to a floor surface temperature of 27°C.
How is it fitted?
It can be fitted by gluing down or nailing, with a 10–12mm expansion gap at the walls. Herringbone is laid from the centre of the room and is glued or nailed, never floated. To keep the GF guarantee, follow the GF installation guide and use a competent professional fitter.
Can it be sanded?
Yes. The real oak top layer can be sanded and refinished. The thicker the top layer, the more times that can be done, so a 4mm or 6mm top layer gives you more life than 3mm.
What guarantee does it have?
It has a 25-year residential guarantee. To keep the GF guarantee, follow the GF installation guide and use a competent professional fitter.
Can I order a free sample?
Yes. You can order up to five free samples, and we aim to send them within 3 to 5 days, so you can see the colour in your own light before you buy.
