About Lygon Oak
Light, warm and natural, Lygon Oak has a sandy tone with a soft blush of pink-gold running through it. The grain is clear but gentle, with flowing cathedral arches and a few small knots that feel natural rather than rustic. Planks vary just a little in shade. The overall look is fresh, relaxed and Scandinavian, with a soft matt finish.
Lygon is a good match for white or sage kitchens, light grey and oatmeal fabrics, terracotta pots and pale timber furniture. It brings warmth to bedrooms and living rooms, and as it is fully waterproof it can follow on into the kitchen and bathroom.
At 180 x 1220mm, the planks are long and wide, so the floor stays calm and the room feels open. The same colour also comes in herringbone, which lets a hallway or dining room have a pattern in a matching tone.
Each plank clicks into the next over a rigid stone-composite core, with underlay attached. It suits underfloor heating up to 27°C.

Frequently asked questions about Lygon Oak
How many packs of Lygon Oak do I need?
Each pack covers 2.64 m². Measure the floor area, add 10% for cutting, then divide by 2.64 and round up. For a 15 m² room that is 7 packs.
Is Lygon Oak waterproof?
Yes. It is a 100% waterproof vinyl floor, so it suits kitchens, bathrooms, utility rooms and hallways.
Can Lygon Oak go over underfloor heating?
Yes. It is suitable for underfloor heating, water or electric, up to a floor surface temperature of 27°C.
Can I fit it myself?
It is the quickest GF floor to fit: the planks click together and float over the subfloor, and the underlay is already attached. The subfloor still needs to be flat, clean and dry, with a 6–8mm expansion gap at every wall. To keep the GF guarantee, follow the GF installation guide and use a competent professional fitter.
What is SPC flooring?
SPC stands for stone plastic composite. It is a rigid core made mostly from limestone powder, with a printed design and a clear wear layer on top. It is harder and more stable than flexible vinyl, and it is 100% waterproof.
What guarantee does it have?
It has a lifetime residential guarantee, which means 35 years from the date of purchase. To keep the GF guarantee, follow the GF installation guide and use a competent professional fitter.
Can I order a free sample?
Yes. You can order up to five free samples, and we aim to send them within 3 to 5 days, so you can see the colour in your own light before you buy.
