About Lygon Oak Herringbone
Light, warm and sunny, Lygon has a sandy oak colour with a soft peachy glow. Cathedral grain and fine straight lines mix across the planks, and small pin knots add a little character. The tone is consistent, with only slight shifts between planks, so the herringbone looks crisp and bright. The matt finish gives the natural look of lightly oiled oak, for a calm, Scandinavian feel.
Living rooms, kitchen-diners and bedrooms all benefit from its warmth. It sits happily with white or warm grey walls, plaster pink, terracotta and sage accents, and light oak or cane furniture.
The 128 x 615mm planks give a traditional herringbone with clean lines, ideal for period homes, hallways and open-plan spaces that need a little structure. The same colour also comes as a plank.
It is 100% waterproof, with a rigid stone-composite core that clicks together on its attached underlay, so kitchens and bathrooms are no problem. It suits underfloor heating up to 27°C.

Frequently asked questions about Lygon Oak Herringbone
How many packs of Lygon Oak Herringbone do I need?
Each pack covers 2.36 m². Measure the floor area, add 15% for cutting, as patterned floors need more cuts than plank, then divide by 2.36 and round up. For a 15 m² room that is 8 packs.
Is Lygon Oak Herringbone waterproof?
Yes. It is a 100% waterproof vinyl floor, so it suits kitchens, bathrooms, utility rooms and hallways.
Can Lygon Oak Herringbone go over underfloor heating?
Yes. It is suitable for underfloor heating, water or electric, up to a floor surface temperature of 27°C.
Can I fit it myself?
It is the quickest GF floor to fit: the planks click together and float over the subfloor, and the underlay is already attached. The subfloor still needs to be flat, clean and dry, with a 6–8mm expansion gap at every wall. To keep the GF guarantee, follow the GF installation guide and use a competent professional fitter.
What is SPC flooring?
SPC stands for stone plastic composite. It is a rigid core made mostly from limestone powder, with a printed design and a clear wear layer on top. It is harder and more stable than flexible vinyl, and it is 100% waterproof.
What guarantee does it have?
It has a lifetime residential guarantee, which means 35 years from the date of purchase. To keep the GF guarantee, follow the GF installation guide and use a competent professional fitter.
Can I order a free sample?
Yes. You can order up to five free samples, and we aim to send them within 3 to 5 days, so you can see the colour in your own light before you buy.
