About Kingham Oak

For a cool, contemporary floor, Kingham Oak offers a mid grey with a hint of pewter and no yellow at all. Soft cathedral grain and long straight lines run through each plank, with only a few small knots. The colour is even from plank to plank, so the floor looks orderly and modern. A low matt finish stops it from looking cold or shiny.

Kingham suits modern kitchens in white, charcoal or concrete tones, along with chrome, black fittings and crisp white walls. It also works in a bathroom or en suite, since it is fully waterproof, and in apartments where one floor needs to run through every room.

The 180 x 1220mm planks are long and wide, which helps a room feel bigger and calmer. The same colour also comes in herringbone, a good option for a hallway or dining area that wants more pattern.

Planks click together over a rigid stone-composite core and float on the attached underlay. A 0.5mm wear layer handles everyday family life in most rooms.

Frequently asked questions about Kingham Oak

How many packs of Kingham Oak do I need?

Each pack covers 2.64 m². Measure the floor area, add 10% for cutting, then divide by 2.64 and round up. For a 15 m² room that is 7 packs.

Is Kingham Oak waterproof?

Yes. It is a 100% waterproof vinyl floor, so it suits kitchens, bathrooms, utility rooms and hallways.

Can Kingham Oak go over underfloor heating?

Yes. It is suitable for underfloor heating, water or electric, up to a floor surface temperature of 27°C.

Can I fit it myself?

It is the quickest GF floor to fit: the planks click together and float over the subfloor, and the underlay is already attached. The subfloor still needs to be flat, clean and dry, with a 6–8mm expansion gap at every wall. To keep the GF guarantee, follow the GF installation guide and use a competent professional fitter.

What is SPC flooring?

SPC stands for stone plastic composite. It is a rigid core made mostly from limestone powder, with a printed design and a clear wear layer on top. It is harder and more stable than flexible vinyl, and it is 100% waterproof.

What guarantee does it have?

It has a lifetime residential guarantee, which means 35 years from the date of purchase. To keep the GF guarantee, follow the GF installation guide and use a competent professional fitter.

Can I order a free sample?

Yes. You can order up to five free samples, and we aim to send them within 3 to 5 days, so you can see the colour in your own light before you buy.
