About Gayle Oak
Warm honey and soft gold are the first things you notice. This is a clean, classic oak look, with fine, even grain and smooth cathedral arches, and almost no knots to break it up. The planks are closely matched in colour, which gives a tidy, consistent floor with a gentle low sheen. It feels bright and friendly, the kind of mid-tone oak that brings warmth to a room without making it dark.
Gayle Oak works well in family living rooms, open-plan kitchen diners and hallways. Try it with white or navy kitchens, grey upholstery, black metal and natural jute rugs. As it is fully waterproof, bathrooms and utility rooms are fine too.
Long 183 x 1220mm planks lay down calm lines that help a room feel wider. If you want a pattern elsewhere, the same colour comes in herringbone, GF Glue Down 0.55 herringbone and GF Glue Down 0.55 plank, so different rooms can share one shade.
Fitting is straightforward: the planks click together and float over the subfloor with the underlay attached. It suits underfloor heating up to 27°C.

Each pack covers 2.2 m². Measure the floor area, add 10% for cutting, then divide by 2.2 and round up. For a 15 m² room that is 8 packs.

Yes. It is a 100% waterproof vinyl floor, so it suits kitchens, bathrooms, utility rooms and hallways.

Can I fit it myself?
It is the quickest GF floor to fit: the planks click together and float over the subfloor, and the underlay is already attached. The subfloor still needs to be flat, clean and dry, with a 6–8mm expansion gap at every wall. To keep the GF guarantee, follow the GF installation guide and use a competent professional fitter.
What is SPC flooring?
SPC stands for stone plastic composite. It is a rigid core made mostly from limestone powder, with a printed design and a clear wear layer on top. It is harder and more stable than flexible vinyl, and it is 100% waterproof.
