About Deepdale Fir Herringbone
Deepdale has a soft, sandy wood tone with a gentle golden warmth. The grain is long and mostly straight, as you would expect from fir, with fine lines and only the odd soft arch, so the surface feels clean and orderly. Colour shifts subtly between planks, some a little paler and more neutral, others a touch more honeyed, and there are no heavy knots or cracks to distract. The matt finish keeps it natural and understated.
It suits Scandinavian and Japandi-style homes, bedrooms, living rooms and kitchens, and sits well with white or oatmeal walls, pale timber, wool rugs, ceramics and matt black details.
The 118 x 590mm planks form a compact herringbone with a traditional, close pattern that suits smaller rooms and period homes. The same colour also comes as a plank, GF Glue Down 0.55 herringbone and GF Glue Down 0.55 plank, so rooms can link together.
It is 100% waterproof and clicks together with the underlay already attached, and the 0.55mm wear layer is the all-round choice for busy family homes.

Frequently asked questions about Deepdale Fir Herringbone
How many packs of Deepdale Fir Herringbone do I need?
Each pack covers 2.23 m². Measure the floor area, add 15% for cutting, as patterned floors need more cuts than plank, then divide by 2.23 and round up. For a 15 m² room that is 8 packs.
Is Deepdale Fir Herringbone waterproof?
Yes. It is a 100% waterproof vinyl floor, so it suits kitchens, bathrooms, utility rooms and hallways.
Can Deepdale Fir Herringbone go over underfloor heating?
Yes. It is suitable for underfloor heating, water or electric, up to a floor surface temperature of 27°C.
Can I fit it myself?
It is the quickest GF floor to fit: the planks click together and float over the subfloor, and the underlay is already attached. The subfloor still needs to be flat, clean and dry, with a 6–8mm expansion gap at every wall. To keep the GF guarantee, follow the GF installation guide and use a competent professional fitter.
What is SPC flooring?
SPC stands for stone plastic composite. It is a rigid core made mostly from limestone powder, with a printed design and a clear wear layer on top. It is harder and more stable than flexible vinyl, and it is 100% waterproof.
What guarantee does it have?
It has a lifetime residential guarantee, which means 35 years from the date of purchase. To keep the GF guarantee, follow the GF installation guide and use a competent professional fitter.
Can I order a free sample?
Yes. You can order up to five free samples, and we aim to send them within 3 to 5 days, so you can see the colour in your own light before you buy.
