About Garsdale Oak Herringbone
Garsdale has a pale, bleached oak look with a sandy warmth underneath. Fine limed streaks and silvery flecks run through the grain, alongside small knots and soft medullary rays, so it has more texture than many light floors. Planks vary between creamy sand and a slightly cooler oatmeal, adding gentle depth across the pattern. The finish is matt and natural, giving a relaxed, sun-washed feel.
It is well suited to coastal and cottage interiors, bright kitchens, bedrooms and bathrooms. Team it with white or pale stone walls, natural jute rugs, rattan, light oak and soft greens.
The 118 x 590mm planks create a compact herringbone with a busy, traditional rhythm, ideal for hallways, smaller rooms and period homes. The same colour also comes as a plank, GF Glue Down 0.55 herringbone and GF Glue Down 0.55 plank, making it easy to keep the look consistent from room to room.
It is 100% waterproof and clicks together over its built-in underlay. The 0.55mm wear layer is the all-round choice for busy family homes.

Frequently asked questions about Garsdale Oak Herringbone
How many packs of Garsdale Oak Herringbone do I need?
Each pack covers 2.23 m². Measure the floor area, add 15% for cutting, as patterned floors need more cuts than plank, then divide by 2.23 and round up. For a 15 m² room that is 8 packs.
Is Garsdale Oak Herringbone waterproof?
Yes. It is a 100% waterproof vinyl floor, so it suits kitchens, bathrooms, utility rooms and hallways.
Can Garsdale Oak Herringbone go over underfloor heating?
Yes. It is suitable for underfloor heating, water or electric, up to a floor surface temperature of 27°C.
Can I fit it myself?
It is the quickest GF floor to fit: the planks click together and float over the subfloor, and the underlay is already attached. The subfloor still needs to be flat, clean and dry, with a 6–8mm expansion gap at every wall. To keep the GF guarantee, follow the GF installation guide and use a competent professional fitter.
What is SPC flooring?
SPC stands for stone plastic composite. It is a rigid core made mostly from limestone powder, with a printed design and a clear wear layer on top. It is harder and more stable than flexible vinyl, and it is 100% waterproof.
What guarantee does it have?
It has a lifetime residential guarantee, which means 35 years from the date of purchase. To keep the GF guarantee, follow the GF installation guide and use a competent professional fitter.
Can I order a free sample?
Yes. You can order up to five free samples, and we aim to send them within 3 to 5 days, so you can see the colour in your own light before you buy.
