About Rannoch Oak Herringbone
Mid honey-tan with a slightly toasted edge, Rannoch Oak Herringbone is deeper than a pale Scandinavian oak but still light enough to keep a room open. Fine, tightly packed straight grain runs the length of each plank, broken now and then by a small pin knot or a soft swirl. There is mild variation between planks, enough to look like real timber. The finish shows a low satin sheen in daylight, and the mood is warm and settled.
It suits family living rooms, dining rooms and snugs, and works with grey or stone sofas, walnut or mid-oak furniture, cream walls and woven textures. Brushed brass and black metal details look good against its warmer tone.
The 126 x 630mm planks create a classic herringbone with plenty of movement, ideal for adding character to a plain room or a period property. The same colour comes as a plank too, so open-plan spaces can switch format between zones without a change of tone.
Practically, it is 100% waterproof, clicks together over a 1mm acoustic underlay that is already attached, and suits underfloor heating up to 27°C.
