About Glencoe Oak Parquet

Golden sand is the best description of Glencoe Oak Parquet. It is a warm, natural oak of light to mid depth, with a gentle cathedral grain, fine straight lines and a few small knots dotted across the planks. Colour variation is modest, so the herringbone looks even and well ordered. The finish has a light sheen that glows where sunlight falls, while the overall feel stays relaxed and homely.

It works in living rooms, kitchen-diners and hallways, and suits both modern and country interiors. It pairs well with grey or oatmeal sofas, cream walls, rattan, linen and soft green kitchen units.

Laid in 114 x 457mm planks, the parquet herringbone is small in scale and full of rhythm, ideal for period homes, narrow halls and rooms where you want the floor to add interest. Glencoe Oak also comes as a plank for rooms that need a calmer finish, so the colour can carry on from one space to the next.

Made by Associated Weavers, it is a 100% waterproof glue-down LVT fixed to a smooth, prepared subfloor, with a 0.55mm wear layer for busy family homes.

Frequently asked questions about Glencoe Oak Parquet

How many packs of Glencoe Oak Parquet do I need?

Each pack covers 2.93 m². Measure the floor area, add 15% for cutting, as patterned floors need more cuts than plank, then divide by 2.93 and round up. For a 15 m² room that is 6 packs.

Is Glencoe Oak Parquet waterproof?

Yes. It is a 100% waterproof vinyl floor, so it suits kitchens, bathrooms, utility rooms and hallways.

Can Glencoe Oak Parquet go over underfloor heating?

Yes. It is suitable for underfloor heating, water or electric, up to a floor surface temperature of 27°C.

How is it fitted?

It is glued to a smooth, level, dry subfloor, usually after a smoothing compound at least 3mm thick, then rolled. There is no underlay. To keep the GF guarantee, follow the GF installation guide and use a competent professional fitter.

Glue-down or click: which should I choose?

The GF by AW glue-down has the thicker 0.55mm wear layer, so it is the harder-wearing choice for busy rooms. The Click SPC is quicker to fit, with the underlay built in.

What guarantee does it have?

It has a 25-year residential guarantee. To keep the GF guarantee, follow the GF installation guide and use a competent professional fitter.

Can I order a free sample?

Yes. You can order up to five free samples, and we aim to send them within 3 to 5 days, so you can see the colour in your own light before you buy.
