About Braemar Oak Herringbone

A clean, honest natural oak, Braemar Oak Herringbone sits in the mid-light range: honey-beige up close, softening to a calm biscuit tone across a room. Each plank carries a clear cathedral grain with flowing arches and fine straight lines. Knots are almost absent, so the look is tidy rather than rustic, and colour stays consistent from plank to plank. The surface is matt with a gentle grain texture that catches low light.

Use it in living rooms, dining rooms and bedrooms where you want pattern without a heavy colour. It pairs well with warm grey upholstery, oatmeal linen, mid-oak furniture and soft white or putty walls, and it is just as happy in a modern new-build as in a Victorian terrace.

The 126 x 630mm planks form a neat, classic herringbone with a traditional rhythm. Braemar Oak also comes as a plank, so you can run the herringbone in the living room and switch to plank in a kitchen or hallway while keeping one colour throughout.

Made by Associated Weavers, it is a 100% waterproof click floor with a 1mm acoustic underlay attached, suitable for underfloor heating up to 27°C.

Frequently asked questions about Braemar Oak Herringbone

How many packs of Braemar Oak Herringbone do I need?

Each pack covers 2.22 m². Measure the floor area, add 15% for cutting, as patterned floors need more cuts than plank, then divide by 2.22 and round up. For a 15 m² room that is 8 packs.

Is Braemar Oak Herringbone waterproof?

Yes. It is a 100% waterproof vinyl floor, so it suits kitchens, bathrooms, utility rooms and hallways.

Can Braemar Oak Herringbone go over underfloor heating?

Yes. It is suitable for underfloor heating, water or electric, up to a floor surface temperature of 27°C.

How is it fitted?

The planks click together and float over a flat, clean, dry subfloor, with a 1mm acoustic underlay already attached, so you never add a second underlay. To keep the GF guarantee, follow the GF installation guide and use a competent professional fitter.

Glue-down or click: which should I choose?

The GF by AW glue-down has the thicker 0.55mm wear layer, so it is the harder-wearing choice for busy rooms. The Click SPC is quicker to fit, with the underlay built in.

What guarantee does it have?

It has a 25-year residential guarantee. To keep the GF guarantee, follow the GF installation guide and use a competent professional fitter.

Can I order a free sample?

Yes. You can order up to five free samples, and we aim to send them within 3 to 5 days, so you can see the colour in your own light before you buy.
