About Burford Oak
Smoky brown oak with a reclaimed, sawn look. Burford mixes cocoa, driftwood grey and warm taupe tones, and the contrast between planks is clear. Saw marks cut across the grain, and small knots and fine splits appear along the boards, giving a worn, characterful finish. The surface is matt with a dry, textured appearance, so it feels honest and lived-in rather than polished.
Choose it for warm, grounded schemes: kitchens with dark or painted units, snug living rooms, hallways and bathrooms. It pairs well with exposed brick, black metal, leather, deep greens and warm whites.
The 180 x 1220mm planks are long enough to show off the rustic grain, and they help larger rooms feel open and calm. The same colour also comes in herringbone, so a patterned floor can sit next to a linear one in matching tones.
It is 100% waterproof, with a rigid stone-composite core and an attached underlay, and it clicks together to float over the subfloor. It suits underfloor heating up to 27°C.

Frequently asked questions about Burford Oak
How many packs of Burford Oak do I need?
Each pack covers 2.2 m². Measure the floor area, add 10% for cutting, then divide by 2.2 and round up. For a 15 m² room that is 8 packs.
Is Burford Oak waterproof?
Yes. It is a 100% waterproof vinyl floor, so it suits kitchens, bathrooms, utility rooms and hallways.
Can Burford Oak go over underfloor heating?
Yes. It is suitable for underfloor heating, water or electric, up to a floor surface temperature of 27°C.
Can I fit it myself?
It is the quickest GF floor to fit: the planks click together and float over the subfloor, and the underlay is already attached. The subfloor still needs to be flat, clean and dry, with a 6–8mm expansion gap at every wall. To keep the GF guarantee, follow the GF installation guide and use a competent professional fitter.
What is SPC flooring?
SPC stands for stone plastic composite. It is a rigid core made mostly from limestone powder, with a printed design and a clear wear layer on top. It is harder and more stable than flexible vinyl, and it is 100% waterproof.
What guarantee does it have?
It has a lifetime residential guarantee, which means 35 years from the date of purchase. To keep the GF guarantee, follow the GF installation guide and use a competent professional fitter.
Can I order a free sample?
Yes. You can order up to five free samples, and we aim to send them within 3 to 5 days, so you can see the colour in your own light before you buy.
