About Bourton Oak
Bourton has a warm greige colour, part sand and part soft taupe, with limed white flecks picked out in the open grain. That limed effect gives a slightly textured, wire-brushed look up close. The grain is lively, with cathedral arches and wavy figure, but the colour stays fairly even from plank to plank, so the floor looks natural without being busy. The overall feel is relaxed, modern-rustic and easy to live with.
It suits family kitchens, living rooms, dining rooms and bathrooms, and works with both warm and cool palettes. Try it with white or putty walls, stone or sage units, grey upholstery, natural oak furniture and woven textures.
The 180 x 1220mm planks are long and generous, helping a room feel bigger and calmer. They work particularly well in open-plan spaces and long hallways, where the lines draw the eye through the room.
It is 100% waterproof, with a rigid stone-composite core that clicks together over the underlay already attached. It suits underfloor heating up to 27°C.

Frequently asked questions about Bourton Oak
How many packs of Bourton Oak do I need?
Each pack covers 2.2 m². Measure the floor area, add 10% for cutting, then divide by 2.2 and round up. For a 15 m² room that is 8 packs.
Is Bourton Oak waterproof?
Yes. It is a 100% waterproof vinyl floor, so it suits kitchens, bathrooms, utility rooms and hallways.
Can Bourton Oak go over underfloor heating?
Yes. It is suitable for underfloor heating, water or electric, up to a floor surface temperature of 27°C.
Can I fit it myself?
It is the quickest GF floor to fit: the planks click together and float over the subfloor, and the underlay is already attached. The subfloor still needs to be flat, clean and dry, with a 6–8mm expansion gap at every wall. To keep the GF guarantee, follow the GF installation guide and use a competent professional fitter.
What is SPC flooring?
SPC stands for stone plastic composite. It is a rigid core made mostly from limestone powder, with a printed design and a clear wear layer on top. It is harder and more stable than flexible vinyl, and it is 100% waterproof.
What guarantee does it have?
It has a lifetime residential guarantee, which means 35 years from the date of purchase. To keep the GF guarantee, follow the GF installation guide and use a competent professional fitter.
Can I order a free sample?
Yes. You can order up to five free samples, and we aim to send them within 3 to 5 days, so you can see the colour in your own light before you buy.
